Tobago Hillclimb Festival
Welcome to the Tobago Hillclimb Festival. A 2 day competitive event hosted by the TTRC(Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club) in partnership with the TMA(Tobago Motorsport Association.
Fri 12th August 2022 - Lowland Mall Carpark 6pm - Vehicle scrutineering and car display
Sat 13th August 2022 - 3km Hillclimb from the bottom on Belmont Road, Tobago 10am
Sun 14th August 2022 - Dexterity event, drift and car display at Parade Grounds Carpark, Dwight York Stadium

Provisional Entry List
Eligible Competitors
- This event is limited to members of the TTRC, members of Caribbean Spec Miata Series and members of TTASA and specially invited guests
- TTRC Members must be in good financial standing
- Suspended members are prohibited from entering any TTRC events
- All competitors must carry a valid driver’s permit (local or foreign) and a valid competition license issued by the Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club or affiliate club.
- Persons suffering from any condition or disability, whether permanent or temporary, which is likely to impair their ability to control a car at Rally speeds will not be considered at the discretion of the TTRC. The TTRC reserves all rights in accepting any entry form and will consider these cases on the basis of safety to Spectators, Marshals, or to themselves and others.
- All members of the TTRC executive and organizing committee are allowed to take part.
Eligible Vehicles
For the purpose of this event, the following classes will be eligible for entry (see also the TTRC 2013 Rulebook for class regulations). Only 4-wheeled vehicles are eligible. International entrants will be facilitated with temporary licensed (V-PLATE) plates and insurance to cover the period of time they are expected to be using the vehicles on public roads.
All vehicles must conform to 1 of the following technical rules to be eligible –

- TTRC - Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club Vehicles classification 2022
- Caribbean Spec Miata Series 2022
- TTASA – Trinidad & Tobago Automobile Sports Association classification 2022 for Group1,2,3,4 or Radical.
Car & Driver Safety Requirements
All cars are mandated to have the following requirement related to safety.
Cars and competitors must be present and pass event scuritneering and briefing.
- A weld in roll cage of 6 points or more with side impact
- The roll cage must have roll over protection for the driver.
- Driver helmet for auto racing
- Driver race suit
- A hans device is RECOMMENDED
- Onboard fire extinguisher of 5lbs securely stored
- Wheels cannot exceed the body width. Fenders flares are acceptable
- Wheels must be closed within a wheel well
- A 1 piece race seat must be installed
- A 4 point or greater seat belts must be used
- 2 Emergency kill switches, one internal for driver and one external
Cars and competitors must be present and pass event scuritneering and briefing.
Tires
All cars are mandated to run the tiers for the class they are competing in. Eg. Spec Miata cars must run the spec tiers for the class. Rally car can run tires that comply with TTRC class rules. ETC

Entry Fees
- The maximum entry to “Tobago Hillclimb Festival” will be 25 cars
- Competitors will be placed on a waiting list should more than 25 cars enter
- There will be a pre-determined number of reserved spots for tobago competitors
- Entry forms are available from Google form or at the club’s website www.rallytrinidad.net
Entry Fees
- Entry fees are TT$800 for TTRC members or $$900 for all other competitors. All competitors must pay their entry fee my July 5, that is, the Club must receive funds by July 5.
- Entry Forms will NOT be accepted without payment
- Competitors will NOT be allowed to start without the completed entry form and fee
- Competitor’s entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE

Competitive Stages – 10 Total
Friday – TARMAC (Your class tires must be used)
Saturday – 6 Stages TARMAC (Your class tires must be used)
Sunday – 4 Stages TARMAC (Your class tires must be used)
-Note: The Event will be contested over tarmac stages.

- Start and finish on his own power SS1 to SS14
- SS1 & 2 will not count to your overall time but cars must start on their own power.
- SS13 & 14 will not count to your overall time but cars must start on their own power.
- SS13 & 14 can be done without a navigator as it is a fun run

Event Start Time
i. Friday August 12th – Scrutineering – Cars and Teams Representative are due to check-in at 18:00 and must check in to MTC1. Scrutineering will start at 18:15. (Cars can check into MTC anytime prior to the identified time, penalty free. Check-in on or after listed time will incur penalties)
ii. Saturday August 13th – Car 0 due at Service Park Time Control (MTC2) at 10:00. (Cars can check into MTC anytime prior to the identified time, penalty free. Check-in on or after listed time will incur penalties)
iii. Sunday August 14th – Car 0 due at Service Park Time Control (MTC3) at 11:00. (Cars can check into MTC anytime prior to the identified time, penalty free. Check-in on or after listed time will incur penalties)
