 Tobago Hill-climb Festival 2025

Welcome to the Tobago Hill-Climb Festival. A three day competitive event hosted by The Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club (TTRC) in association with the Tobago Motor-Sport Association (TMA).

Event Itinerary

Sat 9th August - Car Display, Event Briefing & Scrutineering
Sun 10th August- 3km Hill-Climb at Belmont Road 9am followed by Awards

Eligible Competitors


  1. This event is limited to members of the TTRC, members of Caribbean  Spec Miata Series and members of TTASA and specially invited guests
  2. TTRC Members must be in good financial standing
  3. Suspended members are prohibited from entering any TTRC events
  4. All competitors must carry a valid driver’s permit (local or foreign) and a valid competition license issued by the Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club or affiliate club. 
  5. Persons suffering from any condition or disability, whether permanent or temporary, which is likely to impair their ability to control a car at Rally speeds will not be considered at the discretion of the TTRC. The TTRC reserves all rights in accepting any entry form and will consider these cases on the basis of safety to Spectators, Marshals, or to themselves and others.
  6. All members of the TTRC executive and organizing committee are allowed to take part.
  7. The organizers have the right to refuse entry based on drivers lack of experience.
  8. A competitor much have competed in at least 1 completed race event. 

Eligible Vehicles

​For the purpose of this event, the following classes will be eligible for entry. Only 4-wheeled vehicles are eligible. International entrants will be facilitated with temporary licensed (V-PLATE) plates and insurance to cover the period of time they are expected to be using the vehicles on public roads.

Any car not confirming to the above regulations must modify there vehicle to comply with any class to be eligible. For 2025 there will be no ”Open Class”, vehicles must also comply with the safety requirements below.

All vehicles much have a xx by xx space for a number board on the both sides of your competition vehicle for official race number. All existing numbers much be removed or covered.

Car & Driver Safety Requirements

 All vehicles &  Drivers/Co-Drivers must conform to TTRC Minimum Safety Regulations to be eligible to enter:

  • A weld in roll cage of 6 points or more with side impact bars
  • The roll cage must have roll over protection for the driver.
  • Driver helmet for auto racing. A helmet with a Snell Rating of 1998 or higher is recommended.
  • Driver race suit with minimum of SFI 3.2/1A
  • A frontal head restraint device is mandatory (EG. Hans Device, Motorsport Neck Foam Collar only or similar device) 
  • Onboard fire extinguisher of 5lbs minimum securely stored
  • Wheels cannot exceed the body width. Fenders flares are acceptable
  •  Wheels must be closed within a wheel well
  • A 1 piece race seat must be installed
  • A 4 point or greater seat belts must be used. All belts must minimum be SFI or FIA rated.
  • 2 Emergency kill switches, one internal for driver and one external
  • The external Kill switch much have a label with the FIA symbol killswitch with words" Kill" or "Cut off".
  • For 2025 there will be no Open Class.
  • All cars must meet or exceed the above minimum safety requirements. Additional safety details to each are in the club rule section.
 
Cars and competitors must be present and pass event scuritneering and briefing. 

Tires

All cars are mandated to run the tiers for the class they are competing in. Eg. Spec Miata cars must run the spec tiers for the class. Rally car can run tires that comply with TTRC class rules. ETC

Entry to Tobago Hill-climb Festival 2025


Entry Forms
  1. The maximum entry to “Tobago Hillclimb Festival” will be 20 cars
  2. Competitors will be placed on a waiting list should more than 20 cars enter
  3. There will be a pre-determined number of reserved spots for tobago competitors
  4. Entry forms are available from Google form or at the club’s website www.rallytrinidad.net
 
Entry Fees
  1. Current financial (Members who have paid there dues) TTRC Members entry fee are $900 . None member entry fees are $1500 for all other competitors. All competitors must pay their entry fee my July 17th, that is, the Club must receive funds by July 17th. Any entry accepted after the July 17th deadline will incur a $300 late fee.
  2. A entry is considered completed and entered with a completed entry form AND completed fees.
  3. The event organizers cannot be held liable should a competitor be late on payment with a completed entry form and they are outside the maximum entry limit of 20 cars.
  4. Entry Forms will NOT be accepted without payment
  5. Competitors will NOT be allowed to start without the completed entry form and fee
  6. Competitor’s entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE

Event Details

Surface

Competitive Stages – 7 Total
Saturday – TARMAC (Your class tires must be used)
Sunday – 7 Stages TARMAC (Your class tires must be used)

 
-Note: The Event will be contested over tarmac stages.
-To be considered a finisher of the Tobago Hillclimb Festival, a competitor must           
  • Start and finish on his own power SS2 to SS 7
  • SS1 must be started on their own power.
  • SS1 times will not count as it is a sighting run.​


Total Mileage

i.Competitive Stages –     33km
ii.Transit Mileage –             25km
iii.TOTAL EVENT MILAGE – 58km

Event Start Time

i. Saturday August 9th – Scrutineering – Cars and Teams Representative are due to check-in at 18:00 and must check in to (Master Time Control)MTC1. Scrutineering will start at 18:15. (Cars can check into MTC anytime prior to the identified time, penalty free. Check-in on or after listed time will incur penalties)
ii. Sunday August 10th – Car 0 due at Service Park Time Control (MTC2) at 10:00. (Cars can check into MTC anytime prior to the identified time, penalty free. Check-in on or after listed time will incur penalties)
